Let your merchants get paid for their sales instantly
YouLend's Instant Settlement solution allows you to offer your merchants instant access to their receivables from sales without any liability on your side. This means merchants can be paid faster than if they otherwise had to wait for their acquirer to pay their bank account which often happens T+3 days after a sale is made. Some partners call this solution "instant payout", "instant deposit" and "same day transfer" when presenting it to their merchants.
Good to know
The instant payout solution is available via API integration and is delivered within your existing UI
Typical merchant journey

1. Merchant sees that instant settlement solution is available
- Prequalify the merchant and then show your merchants their prequalified offer in your own UI.
- You must also present the terms and conditions for the instant settlement product to the merchant, including any pricing that you have decided.
2. Merchant requests for instant settlement to be set up
- Onboard the merchant with YouLend through your own UI. Onboarding involves providing adequate verification ("KYC") information on behalf of the merchant. Once done, YouLend will assign to the merchant an instant settlement bank account. The underlying acquirer will pass funds through this account before they arrive in the merchant's day-to-day business bank account. This intermediate account will serve to manage automatic repayment of future instant settlements.
3. Merchant sees precisely how much they can be paid out instantly
- Offer instant settlement in your own UI. YouLend will provide you with a real-time figure for how much a merchant can choose to instant settle.
4. Merchant selects how much they would like to receive instantly
- Request instant settlement from YouLend. YouLend will pay the merchant's business bank account instantly.
5. Merchant can monitor their use of instant settlements
- Retrieve instant settlement information and present this data to the customer in your own UI.
Good to know
There are other implementations of instant settlement where the customer journey is different. For example, YouLend sometimes pays directly to our integration partner who then pays the merchant directly, instead of YouLend paying the merchant directly. This can be a good solution for partners that also act as acquirers for their merchants. If you would like to discuss these options, please get in touch via [email protected]
