YouLend have a few methods to collect repayments to allow partners to choose the method which suits them and their merchants.
The methods available vary by geography, integration level, and partner type.
For each solution, YouLend does not require any ongoing granular information about transactions or chargebacks, settled or un-settled amounts. YouLend is interested only in the net settled position.
Repayment methods
YouLend has three primary repayment solutions to offer to our partners, visit the pages below to learn about each solution.
- Re-routing (YouLend manages the sweep) (UK)
- Split at source (partner managed) (EU&UK)
- Split at source (partner managed, bulk payment) (USA)
Good to know
Split at source is the best merchant experience and is facilitated via an API integration between YouLend and the partner
Direct Debits
In some cases, re-routing may not be possible for a geography, partner or merchant. In these cases Direct Debits are used instead. For some cases where direct debits might be applicable, see below:
- Preferred option in the USA
- Merchant performs sales mostly via non-reroutable channels, e.g. invoices
- Merchant's bank refuses re-routing UK/EU
- An agreement exists with a specific introducer
Types of Direct Debit:
- Variable Direct Debit: Amount varies based on sales, adjusted via Open Banking
- Fixed Direct Debit: A fixed amount is debited, regardless of sales fluctuations
Good to know
There is no manual intervention required from the partner to facilitate direct debits, YouLend will reach out directly to the merchant to arrange this
